Hey everyone! This time it’s the Conjuring, directed by James Wan, that I am reviewing. This movie is about paranormal investigators, Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed (Patrick Wilson), Warren who get called to Carolyn (Lili Taylor) and Roger (Ron Livingston) Perron’s house. Carolyn, Roger, and their five daughters are living in a remote farmhouse in which there is a supernatural presence. The events start out okay but as the story progresses the horrifying events start escalating, especially after the Warren’s find out the house’s grisly history.
This movie is especially scary in some parts. I watched this when I was 10, and I was scared at some parts of the movie. It also had a couple of jump scare moments. Watching it in a theater or at nighttime in the basement just adds to the horrifying effects. James Wan has made a movie full of horror moments with macabre. The effects and horror scenes of the movie are what made me give a good rating.
However, the I did not particularly enjoy the storyline of the movie. It was a bit confusing and at times it got a bit boring. When it got boring, only the horror elements kept me watching at times. Other than this the movie is perfect to watch if you are not scared of horror elements and don’t get bored easily.
